At Speech of Cake, we offer complimentary consultations to all prospective clients. A free consultation is an opportunity for parents and caregivers to connect with a clinician, discuss concerns, and learn more about our services.
The consultation is a dedicated time for parents to:

Discuss concerns related to their child's speech, language, literacy, or overall communication development.

Ask questions and learn more about our services and clinical approach.

Explore whether a comprehensive evaluation or individualized therapy services may be appropriate for their child.
Following the consultation, the clinician will discuss potential next steps and provide recommendations based on the information shared.
Does My Child Need to Attend?
No. Consultations are intended to be a conversation between the parent or caregiver and the clinician. No formal testing or evaluation will take place during this meeting, so we generally recommend that children do not attend.
What Happens Next?
Depending on the concerns discussed, the clinician may recommend a comprehensive evaluation, individualized therapy services, or additional resources and recommendations. There is no obligation to pursue services following a consultation.
